A Special Invitation
You are invited to participate in the activities of St. Mark's United Methodist Women. Any woman may choose to belong whether she is a member of the United Methodist Church or not. It is a voluntary relationship of women who wish to be organized for mission. It is an opportunity to get acquainted with other women. It is an opportunity to support each other.
Purpose
The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose it to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Circles
The total membership of the UMW is separated into small groups of women who meet monthly in member's homes or at the church. It is a time when members can get to know each other better. You my join any circle that meets with your day and time preference.

Unit Meetings
Unit meetings are held periodically throughout the year when members of all come together for a business meeting or special program.
Regular Events
Traditionally three special events are held each year:
· Mother/Daughter Brunch or Luncheon
· Christmas Tea
· Missions Dinner
Conference & District Involvment
Through attendance at district studies, we stay informed of the District and Conference guidelines which, for the most part, govern our local organization. Response and World Outlook magazines also keep us informed of their activities.
